The tone of the article seems very neutral just trying to provide readers realistic information of the conflicts rather than to be biased and entertain the readers. I wouldn't say it's completely neutral, but the majority of the article seems neutral. The language used in the article is very descriptive and to the point regarding the serious problem in the middle east. The framing seems complex with it talking about different groups of people than the escalation side of the issue. Firstly, talking about the writing style of the article, it is a very informative and precise writing with the intention of educating the reader, I learned a lot of things about the ongoing issues and details on how many people have been killed with approximate numbers. Text from the article “more than 33,600 people have been killed in Gaza, the enclaves Health Ministry said” , another quote from the article is, “ in the six months of war since the Hamas-led attack on Israel on Oct. 7, which killed an estimated 1,200 people”. I used these examples to support my analysis on the article about it being informative and precise, because of the numbers used to educate readers with how much people have been killed during the war. Secondly, going into tone and the framing of the article, I consider the tone to be neutral, and the framing is kind of complex but it is well balanced out. For the tone there is minor bias in a few sentences such as , “"Iran's retaliation would come in the form of a direct attack or through some of the web of Tehran-backed groups who have already waged attacks from Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen in recent months”. This kind of makes the readers think Iran is supporting other military groups and making themselves look less powerful. In conclusion, After doing a thorough analysis on this news article, I see little bias, with very informative writing. The article is truly to inform readers and educate them on the ongoing conflict in the middle east.
